While it is believed that women would prefer home science over the real science, females like Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams proved that they can do both with equal grace and vigour. Both of these exceptionally brilliant ladies literally touched the sky!
2. Mathematics - Shakuntala Devi and Katherine G. Johnson

It is a common perception that women are weak in mathematics but Shakuntala Devi and Katherine very subtly broke this cliche. Shakuntala Devi is fondly called the human calculator of India following her impeccable calculation skills. Katherine, on the other hand, calculated the trajectories of America's first manned mission (Apollo) into the orbit and the first Moon landing. She was recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama.
3. Dance and Music - Yamini Krishnamurthi and Anoushka Shankar

Women excel in every field. Dance and music are not just hobbies for them, it is serious business; a part of the soul. Whether it is as a classical dancer like Yamini Krishnamurthi or a sitar player like Anoushka Shankar, making the entire world their stage is not difficult.
4. Literature - J.K Rowling and Jhumpa Lahiri

There was a time when women were prohibited from writing as the paper was expensive and it was believed that women will only waste it. J.K Rowling and Jhumpa Lahiri are two names who have become synonymous with the rich literature. Whether as a fiction or reality, a woman can present the society and the depths of the human emotions in the best way.
5. Politics - Sushma Swaraj and Aung San Suu Kyi

Politics is infamous to be man's claimed territory but we are sure that Sushma Swaraj's wit and Aung San Suu Kyi's patience must have changed everyone's view. They stood their ground against the male friction to give us a better world.
6. First Ladies - Michelle Obama and Suvra Mukherjee

Whether playing upfront or as a supporter, women have never refrained from their responsibilities. Since they are not slaves of their egos, they don't mind being the supporters. Their motive is the betterment of one and all. Michelle Obama and Suvra Mukherjee are two such examples.
7. Entertainment - Emma Watson and Sushmita Sen

Women have faced the scrutiny of the society in every province. Female actresses are supposed to have that inhumanly slim body and the fairest colour. They must look perfect as that is all they should do. Applying brain isn't their job. Emma Watson and Sushmita Sen broke all these stereotypes and told the society how to respect a woman.
8. Entrepreneur - Indira Nooyi and Indu Jain

To manage the private domain, that is the household, is a woman's job. She isn't supposed to wear pants and earn the bread and butter for the family. Indira Nooyi and Indu Jain have proved with their abilities that they can do much more than earning some bread and butter!
